With references to Wedgewood and print room wallpaper, Hostile Nature evokes a world of genteel pleasure, but a closer look suggests a darker story. The framed tableaus in delicate green and white porcelain depict allegories of nature in revolt. Seemingly gentle woodland creatures dwarf and menace their human counterparts in a world out of balance.
